DERMATOPOROSIS. HOW TO STOP SKIN AGING?
How to stop aging?Aging is an integral involutional part of human life, due to endo-and exogenous factors. Fading skin with fine lines, dehydration, gravitational ptosis, dull complexion, senile purple, reduction of all-medicinal processes-all this forms a syndrome designated by the term “dermatoporosis”. This phenomenon is caused by the structural and functional insufficiency of all skin systems and is formed as a result of photo-damage and physiological chronostage.
Involution mechanisms of the skin.
The theory of free radicals, impoverishment of the capillary network, decreased production of collagen and elastin, and active insolation lead to disruption of metabolic processes and, as a result, to the manifestation of signs of aging. According to the results of recent molecular studies of the mechanisms of skin involution, it was revealed that the pathology of the CD44 signaling pathway, which is a transmembrane glycoprotein, whose binding agent is fragments of hyaluronic acid molecules, plays an important role in the formation of the clinical picture of dermatoporosis. Violation of the functioning of this receptor leads to numerous pathological phenomena, since CD44 is present on the surface of important structural units, such as fibroblasts, macrophages, monocytes, keratinocytes, granulocytes, B – and T-lymphocytes, as well as activates lymphocytes with their subsequent migration to the lymph nodes.
Transmembrane glycoproteins form an adequate response of cells to the microenvironment, triggering the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, viability, and mobility. The destruction of the protein part of the receptor is caused by the activation of matrix metalloproteinases in case of photo-damage to the skin.
Earlier stages of aging are bypassed by less internal changes in the dermis, but the appearance of the first wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and dull complexion significantly reduce the quality of life and satisfaction of our clients, and therefore is on the agenda for doctors of aesthetic medicine.
CORRECTION OF DERMATOPOROSIS PHENOMENA USING NATIVE HYALURONIC ACID PREPARATIONS.
In a high efficiency of injection of high molecular weight native hyaluronic acid in correction of photo and premature ageing we all have no doubt. Hyaluronic acid preparations provide direct hydration of the skin, accelerate reparative processes, correct hyperpigmentation and improve the complexion.
For the first time, the term “biorevitalization” was proposed by A. Dipietro in 2001 as a method for correcting involution processes and photo-damage of the skin by intradermal injection of high-molecular native hyaluronic acid, which aims to normalize and restore the intercellular matrix. The main principle of such injections is to stimulate fibroblasts to produce their own ha, collagen, elastin, and restore metabolic processes in the dermis and epidermis.
The course of procedures is selected depending on the individual characteristics of each patient and, as a rule, varies from 2 to 6 procedures with an interval of 14-21 days. After a full course, we get a significant improvement in the visco-elastic properties of the dermis, manifested in the normalization of skin tone and turgor, restoring a healthy, radiant complexion, leveling the microrelief and even lightening hyperpigmentation. A significant increase in all reparative processes in the dermis provides us with the fastest possible physiological recovery of the skin after aggressive procedures such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and laser resurfacing. An important factor in choosing this therapy is that the use of pure high-molecular-weight native hyaluronic acid is well tolerated by patients and, when performing procedures with registered drugs, complications and side effects are very rare.
Contraindications to the biorevitalization procedure:
Disorders of the blood clotting system.
Infectious diseases (including SARS).
Allergic manifestations, inflammatory processes, pustular rashes in the area of the intended injection.
Fever of unknown origin (including low-grade fever).
Systemic connective tissue diseases.
Somatic pathology in the stage of exacerbation and decompensation.
Pregnancy and lactation.
Age of patients up to 18 years.
Possibilities of combined therapy of dermatoporosis manifestations with hyaluronic acid preparations with DMAE and vitamin complex. Nowadays, the market of aesthetic medicine is filled with various cocktails that contain hyaluronic acid in combination with other active ingredients, which allows us to achieve maximum results in the shortest possible time to correct aesthetic skin defects. The main rule of using such drugs is to trust only proven brands that have passed registration in our region, use only ready-made cocktails and in any case do not mix the ingredients in a syringe yourself in order to avoid the occurrence of allegric reactions.
In cases of beriberi, as well as for skin exposed to stress of various etiologies, the use of hyaluronic acid alone in therapy is often not enough and requires more procedures. The most important thing in this case is to use combined therapy with hyaluronic acid with vitamins, minerals, amino acids and coenzymes.
A variety of trace elements, vitamins, and minerals restores damaged tissues and accelerates all cell repair and metabolism processes, as well as stimulates biochemical processes and improves connective tissue trophism. To correct the state of dehydration, beriberi and eliminate the manifestations of stress on the skin, it is enough to conduct 3-4 procedures at an interval of 14 days, so in the shortest possible time we get healthy glowing skin, smooth microrelief and relief of hyperpigmentation. Also on the agenda is the correction of manifestations of gravitational ptosis.
The appearance of wrinkles and creases on the face is due to changes in the mechanical properties of soft tissues, in particular those that depend on the content of elastin and collagen fibers in the dermis. With age, there is a reorganization of the dermal matrix, which is accompanied by thinning of the dermis and sclerosis of the vessels of the microcirculatory bed, due to the difficult delivery of nutrients to the skin. Depending on the cause and stage of gravitational ptosis, adequate therapy is selected.most often, stimulants or volumizers – fillers based on stabilized hyaluronic acid are used. However, in the initial stage of gravitational ptosis, it is important to use lifting revitalizers, which include native hyaluronic acid in combination with dimethylaminoethanol( DMAE), amino acids and chondroitin sulfate:
The action of DMAE in combination with amino acids stimulates the synthesis and maturation of dermal proteins, leading to a pronounced lifting effect and skin compaction.
Chondroitin-sulfate promotes skin hydration and produces its own glycosaminoglycans.
DMAE in a concentration of 1% improves skin tone, eliminates flabbiness, smoothes wrinkles, and evens out micro-relief.
The unique combination of lifting ingredients and moisturizing factors allows you to correct the early manifestations of gravitational ptosis without weighting and volumizing the soft tissues in 3-4 procedures. The procedures are performed with a frequency of 14 days. This replacement therapy allows you to solve the aesthetic problem that arises due to age-related changes in such a volume that is able to satisfy the patient who is experiencing some discomfort due to the appearance of external visible signs of aging.
